If you're about to be married, the thing that I want to say to you is be as honest as you've ever been and be more hopeful than you ever think you could be. Be honest. You will not avoid problems in your marriage. You are a broken person married to a broken person living in a broken world.
Why You Can Face Problems With Hope
And you can look that in the face, you can unpack that, you can examine that, and not be desperate and discouraged because God has invaded His world in the personal work of the Lord Jesus Christ and offers you help for everything you're ever going to face. Don't let getting married be itself an act of delusion and denial. Be more honest than you've ever been and yet, be more hopeful than you ever think you could be.
