Paul David Tripp (born November 12, 1950) is a pastor, speaker, and author of more than 30 books, including the daily devotional, New Morning Mercies. He is married to his wife of 55 years, Luella, and they have four adult children. Paul and Luella live in Philadelphia.
Born in Toledo, Ohio, Paul graduated from Columbia Bible College (now Columbia International University, CIU) in 1972. He studied at Reformed Episcopal Theological Seminary in Philadelphia and received his M.Div in 1975. He completed his D.Min at Westminster Theological Seminary (WTS) in 1988 and taught as a professor at WTS, as well as a faculty member and biblical counselor at the Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation (CCEF).
In 2006, Paul co-founded Paul Tripp Ministries with Steve Sarkisian, through which he could more effectively teach the Bible and connect the transforming power of Jesus Christ to everyday life.
