Money is like everything else in creation. Created things will never satisfy your heart. Created things will never make you have long-term happiness and joy because creation will never be your savior. Every created thing, including money, is designed by God to be a finger to point you to Him, the one place where your heart will ever be satisfied.
The Lie First Told in the Garden
One of the cruel, evil lies of the enemy first told in the Garden of Eden is that something in creation has the ability to satisfy your heart. Whatever you put in that place, whether it's money or sex or power or another person, will damage you and will fail to deliver. The purpose of money is not to give you happiness.
