I love getting a text from someone who knows me, knows I'm going through just out of the blue and it'll be a psalm, it'll be a great hymn. That person is ministering to my heart. If a book has the title "lead", it seems like only leaders should read it and I want to encourage the average person, the congregation, the average person who's benefiting from a ministry to read this book.
Praying for Your Leaders
I know for me as a leader, I try to be as transparent as appropriate about my life and my struggles because I long to have people pray for me. I long to have people encourage me. I long to know that there are people who understand what I'm dealing with everyday, understand my need for spiritual health, understand the community that needs to pour into me so that they can pray for me and minister to me.
